Why we exist
People Before Pizza
To us, pizza is more than just food. It’s our platform to make a positive social impact in the lives of our people and the communities we serve. Founded in 2008 by Scott and Ally Svenson in their hometown of Seattle, WA, they imagined a new way for people to enjoy pizza, by bringing speed, individual style and value to one of the world’s favorite foods. But the real secret sauce wouldn’t be the product, it would be the people who serve communities every day — the MOD Squad
By providing opportunities to people facing barriers to employment, MOD strives every day to foster a sense of opportunity and belonging. This people-first mission expanded to Canada in 2019, and together, we’re building strong and passionate MOD Squad communities in restaurants across North America.
